The Fairies Say Hello

This piece was made has an ode to childhood, to the child like wonder we used to have. As kids we believe anything is possible and more than just believe it, children share their wonder with the world. As a kid one of my favorite things to do was run around our little home and pretend I saw fairies, dragons and so much more. Everywhere I looked there was this light of joy that I made with whatever I had.

As one of my favorite songs puts it, To the dreamers, wide eyed believers, now hanging on to hope by a thread.

Poem for Piece

There was dragons in the backyard,

Couple fairies beneath the trees,

Everyone told us it was possible,

Everyone helped us believe.

Now we are older and they are too,

We put imagination to the side,

because its all we can do.

Dreams are not welcomed here,

They are not told or shared,

Instead they are whispered to heaven,

As far off, forgotten prayers.

~ Put all you have into striving for a success you aren’t sure is even there.
