Meet The Artist

Hi, I’m Faith—the artist and writer behind fkepoetryandcreations. Painting and writing have always been my way of making sense of the world around me.

Using gouache and color pencil I often turn what I am seeing into mythical landscapes that represent different emotions, creating stories to go along with the works.

Likewise I use pen and paper to encourage myself and others while also helping others feel understood.

My Creative Journey

My love for art started at a young age. As a kid, I spent most of my time imagining far-off places, scribbling stories in the margins of my school papers, and doodling everything I saw.

Early in my college years, I received a HIMI gouache set for my birthday. It was at a time when my world was crashing, and I desperately needed a way to make sense of it all. The moment I dipped my brush into those vibrant colors was the moment my childhood sense of wonder found a way out of my head.

Since then, I’ve continued painting and falling in love with God, art, and the world he created even more. By 2022, I decided it was time to share my art with the world and started to slowly create a little space for my art to exist online. It was far from what I have now, but every dream must start somewhere.

I started fkepoetryandcreations as a way to bring joy into people’s lives, including my own. We’ve all dulled our sense of wonder for some of us even our dreams have slowly faded. My hope is that my art and writings help fuel your dreams and wonder for the world around you. They stand as reminders of joy, hope, peace, and adventure when the world gets a bit too hard.
